The Aggie Honor System Office is looking for students who:

Becoming an Honor Council Member

The process of becoming an Honor Council Member varies depending on whether you are an undergraduate student, a graduate student, or a faculty member. The application/nomination process for each is provided below.

Undergraduate Student Honor Council members

Applications are available online at http://aggiehonor.tamu.edu during the first week of the Fall Semester. Aggie Honor System Staff will be available at the New Student Conferences to answer questions about serving on Honor Council or the application process. Questions about the process can also be submitted to the departmental email address aggiehonor@tamu.edu.

The selection criteria includes:

• Overall GPR of at least 2.0. Freshmen may join on the condition that they maintain at least a 2.0 GPR. Returning students must have had a 2.0 or better for the previous Spring semester.
• Ability to serve a two year term (student members can be reappointed by the Director of the Aggie Honor System Office following completion of their first term)
• Must be in good standing with the University.
• Exemplify a desire and dedication to ensure the Aggie Code of Honor is upheld.

Applications must be completed online by 5pm on the Friday following MSC Open House.
Aggie Honor System staff and current Honor Council members will be at New Student Conferences to answer questions about serving on Honor Council.
Selected student government leaders and Aggie Honor System staff work together to review the applications and develop a final list of new Honor Council members.
Students will be notified of their status and appointment through their University email address.

Graduate Student Honor Council Members

Graduate Honor Council Members are appointed by the Graduate and Professional Student Council.
Contact your departmental representative or other Graduate and Professional Student Council members to express your interest and get further information. 
Graduate students must also fill out the application on the Aggie Honor System Office website and be interviewed by the office. 

Faculty Honor Council Members

Elected for 2 year terms as part of the Spring Faculty Senate elections.
There are no limits to the number of consecutive terms that one can serve. After initial election and two year term, a Faculty Honor Council member can be reappointed by the Director of the Aggie Honor System Office to serve an additional term. After serving two terms, the Faculty Honor Council member is welcome to run for re-election for the Honor Council.
